Natra-Bio Varicose Veins contains diluted concentrations of some of the following: Calcarea Lodata 6X (Calcium Iodide), Carduus Marianus 6X (St. Mary's Thistle), Hamamelis Virginiana 6X, 12X, 30X (Witch Hazel), Pulsatilla Nigricans 6X, 12X, 30X (Wind Flower), Calcarea Fluorica 12X (Calcium Fluoride) and Hydrofluoricum Acidum 12X (Hydrofluoric Acid).

Natra-Bio Varicose Veins Relief is said to use a homeopathic model to address this issue. Homeopathic medicine uses “remedies” made out of substances, which, in their undiluted form, may cause symptoms very similar to the disease they are trying to address. However, in homeopathy, they are serially diluted, with a shaking technique, which homeopaths trust will remove any side-effects. This is important, because many of the substances they use are toxic. They also believe that this process imbues the “remedy” with a power to create a response in the body.

They believe using the elements in this formula will stimulate the body to ease varicose veins, even though they are not traditionally used to address this issue. For instance, a diluted form of Milk Thistle is used in this formula, but it has traditionally been used to address liver issues, and not issues having to do with the vascular system, which is the reason why varicose veins form in the first place. The main reason for the popularity of Milk Thistle is that it supposedly protects the liver, and improves its function. In addition, there are no contra-indications known for Milk Thistle.

This formula uses a sublingual formula, which is prevalent in homeopathic medicine. The user places 15 drops under the tongue, 4 times daily. For some people, this may seem rather odd because they are accustomed to using formulas that use a capsule-based delivery system. This may all be a moot point, because, during the course of this review, we found out that Natra-Bio Varicose Veins is discontinued. The reason for this development is not available at this time, which is concerning to us.

As noted above, the homeopathic remedy, Natra-Bio Varicose Veins, has been discontinued, and frankly, we are not surprised, given the nature of its formula. While these kinds of preparations are heavily marketed to address a variety of issues, there is no actual scientific proof to support its use, especially when it comes to varicose veins, an issue for which many people often desire hard-hitting and fast results. This does not mean it has not been studied; the truth is, it has, but these studies have been inconclusive as of review.

According to our research, homeopathic formulas have not been shown to be the best line of defense for addressing this condition before the next phase of treatment - surgery, which may be both painful and time consuming. Fortunately, there are other alternatives, and we are actually very excited to see a new oral supplement emerge onto the market - Diosmin 95®. This is an element which has shown some rather extraordinary results in preventing and reversing spider and varicose veins. Until very recently, Diosmin 95® was not available in the U.S., but it has now been approved by the FDA for use in over-the-counter formulas. However, very few products offer this element in their formulas, but we think it is well worth seeking out.
