Review
Summary |
Vitamin K1 Cream, by the company Bioque®, is said to have a number of skincare benefits. Online descriptions claim that the formula within this product may reduce the appearance of varicose veins, age spots, dark circles under the eyes, scars and various other skin blemishes and spots. Though, for the purposes of this review, we will focus primarily on how this product may address varicose veins.
There are many creams and products on the market that claim to address varicose and spider veins. We feel it’s always important to research a product before use to ensure that it will not only fit your specific needs, but also perform as advertised.

 | Ingredients at a Glance |
|
This cream is said to contain some of the following ingredients: Purified Water, Phytonadione (Vitamin K1), Isopropyl Palmitate, Sweet Almond Oil, Arnica Montana (Arnica) Oil, Propylene Glycol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Trilaureth-r-phosphate, Hexyldecanol, Hexyldecyl Laurate, Cetyl Alcohol, Horse Chestnut Extract, Dimethicone, Phenoxyethanol, Sunflower Seed Oil, Methlparaben, Aloe Barbadensis, BHT, Disodium EDTA, Retinyl Palmitate, Propylparaben, Ethylparaben, Butylparaben and Isobutylparaben.
One of the active ingredients within this product, Vitamin K1, is said to eliminate skin blemishes and promote skin cell renewal. Though, this appears to be only a dermal layer treatment, and may not be capable of penetrating deep enough to address the issue of varicose veins.

 | Ingredients in Focus |
|
This product contains a number of ingredients that are said to be soothing for the skin. Sweet Almond Oil, Arnica Oil and Sunflower Seed Oil are all said to provide skin enhancement benefits, and are capable of soothing irritated skin. The combination of these ingredients may generate smoother, moister skin, but none of these ingredients as of review have been shown to have an effect on varicose veins.
Another contained ingredient, Horse Chestnut, is actually found within a number of products on the market that claim to reduce varicose veins. Horse Chestnut is said to strengthen the function of veins and improve circulation. Though, again, this ingredient has not been proven in clinical trials to effectively reduce the appearance of spider and varicose veins.
However, there is one ingredient that has conclusive proof that it is capable of quickly diminishing both varicose and spider veins. This ingredient is known as Diosmin 95®, and is patented to ensure quality. Though, it does not appear that this ingredient is contained within this cream.

 | Lifestyle |
|
As mentioned, this product comes as a topically applied cream, and is not available in capsules. We believe the topical delivery method may have benefits, and may be suitable and even preferable for some issues. However, we feel that varicose veins are an internal issue, and we do not see how a topical cream may adequately improve this situation. Ultimately, we find a capsule-based supplement appears better equipped at tackling the issue of varicose veins, since capsules are more efficient in delivering the contained ingredients into the body for maximum absorption.

 | Final Thoughts |
|
Ultimately, we have to stress that we do not feel that a cream may be as capable as a capsule-based supplement when it comes to reducing varicose veins. Furthermore, this cream is quite expensive, and may cost as much as $75 depending on what bottle size is purchased.
This product may improve the texture and appearance of skin by adding additional moisture and soothing irritants, but for significant results in diminishing veins, we feel a capsule-based product which contains the above mentioned Diosmin 95® is most likely needed. Varicose veins are an internal issue that we do not believe may be addressed from the outside.
